Color is everything. I love to explore the relationship between colors and I relish in the emotions they evoke. It is a wonder to see how they interact with each other – how a combination comes to life and sings - how one color can make another one shine. My desire is to create something one can gaze upon when daydreaming for a moment.
Maturing as a person has matured me as an artist. I paint what I see and like. Simple objects and scenes. It does not matter what the subject matter is, it is all about how you experience and express it. I like to find the beauty in the ordinary and in everyday life. To discover all the colors present and maybe some more. To find the rhythm around us.
I’m a native Swede and permanent transplant who has always loved drawing and painting. Before moving to the US to pursue a degree in Interior Design I studied and exhibited my art in Sweden.
After receiving my BFA in interior design from New York School of Interior Design (NYSID), working in the design industry and raising a family I found my way back to art. The past 10 years I have painted and exhibited, even won a couple of awards. I’m convinced that art and design matters - with a background in both, I find that they inform one another - it is all connected.
